I have no idea what OK! Magazine was thinking with this cover. Usually, such a tabloid would wait to put such a blatant lie on their cover until a point in time when Angelina Jolie hadn’t JUST gone on the record with the denial that she and Brad Pitt are getting married. So… whatever. Angelina and Jennifer Aniston are “at war” – and it’s a “bride war”!!! Of course.
When Brad Pitt left Jennifer Aniston and took up with Angelina Jolie six years ago, it fueled Hollywood’s bitterest celebrity rivalry: Rachel Green vs Lara Croft; scorned girl-next-door(ish) wife vs edgy, glamorous usurper. For the most part, it’s been a cold war. Publicly, at least, the antagonists have ignored each other except for some occasional trash talk in interviews. But no more.
With Jen having found true love at last with Justin Theroux — and, friends say, planning to wed by year’s end — Angelina is set on marrying Brad first. Despite publicly insisting that she has no plans to wed, sources close to the Oscar-winner tell OK! she has already picked out a dress!
What’s more, Angie is not only fast-and-furiously racing Jen to the altar, she is determined to overshadow the romantic-comedy queen by throwing the more dazzling nuptials.
“It’s not a subject Angelina likes to talk about, but the truth is she and Jen still hate each other,” a source tells OK!. “They just can’t seem to let go of their grudges. They’ve taken a lot of jabs at one another over the years, but Angelina seems to be the one really obsessed with proving her dominance.
“Obviously she loves Brad deeply and wants to cement their bond and keep her family together,” the source adds. “But the consensus among their friends is that there’s more going on than just that. A lot of people around her suspect that this wedding has a lot to do with her need to be on top.”
There’s a sidebar called “Wedding Wars,” in which we discover that Angie’s wedding will be in New Orleans, with roses and red meat, while Jen’s will be in New York, with orchids and seafood. And while Jen may have Courteney Cox at her wedding, Angelina wins, because on her invitee list is The U.N. The building, not the people inside.

The thing is that I’m not so sure Jennifer Aniston is NOT going to get married within the next year. I actually do hope that she and Justin Theroux last for a while longer, and I think they will (fingers crossed). I’ll say it again: Aniston got herself a live one. Justin is into her, and he seems up for whatever she wants, whether it be shacking up, or marriage, or babies. Meanwhile, as much as I’d like to see Angelina and Brad tie the knot, I believe Angelina when she says they’re not going for it right now.

What drew you to take on this movie? [Moneyball]
I was inspired by the way the story questions the things that we accept every day. I mean, because we’ve been doing something the same way for so long, does that make it right?
Noticed that at all in your life?
Yes, my upbringing. I grew up in a very Christian environment – and I always questioned it. It took me until my adult years, and leaving home, to really try something different for myself. And let me tell you, satanism is working out really well [laughs]. I made a pact – that’s why the film came out so great!
What about the way you’re raising your kids? Do you want them to act, too?
I just want them to do what they want, to follow their bliss. Whatever makes them happy.
What are your favorite sports films?
As a kid, I liked The Bad News Bears. And I loved Nick Nolte’s North Dallas Forty. I think it was the first r-rated movie that I ever sneaked into. So it holds a special place in my heart!

I should mention that Moneyball is getting very solid-to-great reviews, with a lot of critics mentioning that it’s a really good film even if you’re not into baseball. I still want to see it – the critics say that everybody is on their game, from Brad to Jonah Hill to Philip Seymour Hoffman. So… I’m totally seeing it next weekend.
